BSC La Floresta Secures Promotion to the 1st National Division
BSC La Floresta makes history by earning promotion to the 1st National Division of beach volleyball after an outstanding playoff in Madrid.
Premià de Dalt, May 4, 2026 — This weekend, Beach Sports Catalunya (BSC) celebrated one of the most remarkable milestones in its sporting history, as the women's team BSC La Floresta earned promotion to the 1st National Division of beach volleyball.
The promotion tournament took place on May 2 and 3, 2026, at the Parque Deportivo Puerta de Hierro (Madrid), bringing together some of the top teams nationwide in a high-level competition.
With a clear objective from the start —to secure promotion—, the team rose to the occasion with fierce determination during a demanding group stage featuring two groups of three teams.
A promotion stage dominated by BSC La Floresta
In the opening match, BSC La Floresta faced the formidable Side Out from the Canary Islands, a top-tier opponent boasting regional champions of Spain and a coaching staff with extensive national experience. Far from being intimidated, the team showcased rock-solid consistency from the first serve, claiming a commanding 6-1 victory on Saturday morning.
On Sunday, the second group-stage match was against Llanes (Asturias). This time, the team stepped up even further and controlled the tie from start to finish, concluding with a dominant 7-0 win, displaying elite-level play and total confidence across all matches. This performance secured their spot in the final on high spirits.
Victory in the final and promotion to the 1st National Division
The final took place on Sunday afternoon under demanding physical conditions given the short turnaround time. Facing Pizarra, champions of the other group, BSC La Floresta competed with unwavering determination once again, securing a 5-2 win to seal their promotion to Spain's top division.
A sporting project with a vision for the future
This triumph is a tremendous source of pride for the entire club—not only for the sporting achievement, but for the vision driving it: a project built on developing homegrown talent, relentless work, and collective commitment.
Looking ahead to next season, BSC embraces an ambitious new challenge: competing in the 1st National Division as the only Catalan women's team in the category. The club remains fully committed to its homegrown model, without major external signings, striving to consolidate a competitive, united squad true to its identity.
Furthermore, this promotion allows the club to represent Premià de Dalt at the very peak of Spanish beach volleyball, showcasing the municipality at the highest national level and elevating its sporting presence across the country.
This promotion marks the dawn of an exciting new chapter that will rely on the combined efforts of players, coaching staff, the club, institutions, and sponsors. BSC tackles this journey with excitement, ambition, and the deep belief to continue growing in national beach volleyball.
